Wedding Florist, What's been Happening

What’s Been Happening

It’s been a really busy time for us which is super exciting, I wanted to take some time to reflect on what we’ve been up to and what we have coming up.

The summer started with the most gorgeous of weddings at Dorfold Hall, we filled the place full of beautiful flowers in blues and greens it was a stunner as I’m sure you all might have seen - plus that arch, I still think about it often.

Each and every one of our events is special to us and so unique, having worked in the wedding industry for some time now, you do start to see trends dip in and out and styles change, which is fabulous and keeps our work up to date and fresh.  With that, we do tend to get an array of different briefs.  This year we’ve had a few firsts, which is fun.  We had our first fully monochrome wedding at Rivington Barn (there are now a few more of these booked) and a plant-based wedding, where we used about 400 different succulents, all of which have been re-homed and are thriving!  Two totally different wedding briefs but both were unbelievably beautiful and always a bit on the wild side.

There hasn’t been much let up since the summer, going full steam ahead in September prepping for some gorgeous autumnal weddings.  We also got to create flowers for a fabulous 50th birthday party so it’s not always about weddings.  We finished the month off at Oddfellows on the Park.  This wedding was so different, I was given free rein with design but specifics on colour, which was all different wine tones - no red or pink!  We had hanging flowers, urns, and arches - I can’t wait to share the photos with you when they come through.

In the midst of all the flowering, we have of course gone through a re-brand, it has been received well, I’m glad to say! It was not an easy decision to move away from Forage, however, we wanted to create something long-lasting that allows the business to organically move in any direction.  It was a big investment which we hope to keep building on.  We’re always working on the website to make sure it stays up-to-date and current.

There are so many things to look forward to, namely the biggest event of our career The Savoy! Watch out for plenty of BTS.  We have some fabulous venues booked for 2024, such as Chatsworth House, Holesfoot, Manchester Hall, and some marquee weddings.   Of course, we have Christmas to contend with so there will be some wreath-based spam coming your way.
