Top North West Wedding Suppliers

Following on from my last blog post, here is the next instalment and the next stages of wedding planning.  Once you've got the big stuff out the way, like the venue and photographer, the next step is generally the prettier things, like the flowers, hair and make-up and dresses, so the fun stuff.

Now, chances are you have dreamt about your wedding dress since your were little, I certainly did.  If I remember rightly I used to wear my mum’s veil and play dress-up getting married.  Not sure she knew about that one.  So choosing ‘THE DRESS’ is a big deal.  You may have a set idea in your mind or have no clue, either way got to at least a couple of bridal shops because you might not go for what you thought you wanted.

Little tip, your dress will also reflect the vibe and tone of your wedding. When I was choosing mine, there were two I loved, both very different.  One was very slim, patterned and would have looked great with long satin gloves, the other was a sleep Jesus Piero dress with pockets.  I went for the latter with Jimmy Choo’s for the day and Converse for the evening.  This look immediately made the day more relaxed and became the spring board for all the smaller details.

Flowers would be next on my list of things to organise and you need to do this at least 9months before the big day, that gives us plenty of time to prep, plan and make things perfect for you.  Always have a consultation with your florist first, even if i’m not the right florist for you having a 30min chat is really helpful.  For the most part our work is bespoke so offering a price on items is almost impossible without some form of brief.  After the call we would create a personal proposal and mood board for you.  This proposal usually changes through time especially once we’ve done a site visit, nothing needs to be set till 8wks before the wedding.

A top tip, you do not need to know about specific flowers or what you need, that’s for me to help and guide you, the only thing is to have a budget in mind, this really helps us to understand how we can maximise the flower spend.

Once you have a florist booked I would look at finding your stationer, and hair and makeup.  These suppliers get booked up quickly.
