BIRDSALL HOUSE
Editorial Wedding Flowers at Birdsall House, Yorkshire
There are venues… and then there are venues. Birdsall House is one of those truly special places, and I’m proud to be a preferred wedding florist for this breathtaking estate nestled in the Yorkshire countryside.
For this editorial wedding shoot, I worked alongside an incredible team of talented suppliers to create something timeless, elegant, refined, and romantic, with just a touch of Jane Austen. Our vision was to design a wedding look that felt sophisticated and real, not overly trendy but modern in all the right places.
Drawing inspiration from the historic charm of Birdsall House and its Regency interiors, I used seasonal late winter into early spring flowers as the foundation of the floral design. The hellebore took centre stage, supported by delicate blossom, tulips, and lush trailing greenery.
A sweeping staircase installation brought drama and softness all at once, cascading with natural movement as if it had always belonged. The floral tablescape was designed to feel at home in the grand ballroom, using elegant vessels in keeping with the house’s aesthetic and a colour palette that enhanced the space rather than overwhelmed it.
The bridal bouquet was full of seasonal character, lightly structured yet romantic, with a velvet burgundy ribbon that added a rich, tactile finishing touch. Every floral element was thoughtfully styled to honour the setting, elevate the story, and inspire future weddings at this incredible venue. For more details head to the blog
