HOWSHAM HALL WEDDING FLOWERS
For this contemporary spring editorial at the majestic Howsham Hall, the vision was to create modern styling with the venue's striking Jacobean architecture. Working closely with planner Jessica Sharpe, our brief was to create a design that felt calm, romantic, and quietly luxurious.
Rather than competing with the natural grandeur of the Grade II listed country house, we intentionally designed the florals to complement its existing features and beautifully soft natural light. We embraced a delicate spring palette of blush pink, crisp white, and soft green, ensuring every element worked seamlessly to bridge the gap between heritage elegance and contemporary editorial design.
To bring this vision to life, my focus was on introducing softness, texture, and gentle movement. We framed the venue’s grand entrance with a beautifully untamed installation of locally grown eucalyptus, genista, and trailing tree ivy. Inside, the design transitioned into a more delicate rhythm to suit the beautifully layered tablescapes.
Set against soft candlelight and contemporary details, the florals brought a fresh, English garden feel to the space—proving that timeless, historic backdrops can perfectly host modern, sophisticated floral design.
